Honey Cones by Carol Berger
Ceramic, 3 x16 x16
Carol has been constantly honing her ceramic techniques. With this piece, she was working with a process called “throwing off the hump”. A large lump of clay was centered on the wheel and multiple pieces were formed and cut off the clay until all the clay was gone. These small cones were attached to the base and when constructed, the result seemed similar to a beehive, hence the name Honey Cones.
