Mohammad Ali Bhatti

Painting for me is like composing a symphony; color, textures, forms and shapes are my instruments of creativity. I approach canvases with an idea or a concept in mind, and then add to it along the way. The visual interest is coupled with ambiguous shapes, bold brush strokes, vaguely suggested references, and sprinkled alphabets, symbolizing contemporary chaotic life. In the process of doing so, the interplay of small and large shapes, multiple layering of contrasting colors, appearance and disappearance of elements floating in neutral space generating movement and energy in my compositions. As an artist, my ultimate goal has been to create something interesting and meaningful for the spectator, and invite the viewer to participate in the complexity of visual concert aesthetically emotionally and intellectually.
