Maksim Koloskov
Maksim Koloskov does art works on paper, mostly in watercolor or ink. Maksim’s favorite way of doing art is en plein air and you might find him sketching or painting on the streets of Houston. Many of his figurative works are from the Sunday model sessions at the Archway Gallery.
Maksim grew up in Russia and came to Houston in 1995 after graduating from Moscow Architectural Institute (MARCHI). While working with architectural firm Gensler and later with Rottet Studio he continued his passion in painting and drawing.
As an architectural illustrator, he received a number of awards, including the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI) juried competitions and Architectural Record’s “Cocktail Napkin Sketch” contest. His works have been featured across several platforms and publications such as Architectural Record, Texas Architect, San Diego Magazine and hyperlapse inspiration videos for Elle Décor. Maksim’s fashion illustrations were featured in London based fashion magazines FABUK, LAZIN as well as being a featured artist in the London fashion magazine Goldfoil.
Maksim is a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators and Houston Watercolor Art Society .
