Jennifer Claussen

Jennifer Claussen, a lifelong resident of the Houston area, finds solace and inspiration in the outdoors year-round. Her art reflects humanity's connection with nature and its potential for physical, spiritual, and mental healing.

Initially focused on ceramics and photography, Jennifer now identifies as an eco-artist. She explores local natural landscapes, salvaging materials to incorporate into her sculptures alongside glass, ceramic, acrylic, and metals. Through her work, she emphasizes the beauty and importance of repurposing materials while expressing her deep love for the planet.

Living in the same area for over twenty years, Jennifer has witnessed urbanization encroach upon the once serene piney woods. This transformation has influenced both her personal growth and artistic expression. Additionally, she is developing a program to engage individuals in artistic activities in local parks, aiming to promote health benefits and advocate for the preservation of natural spaces.
