The model who worked with our small drawing group is a scientist who rides a motorcycle and decided to try figure work after participating in a life drawing session as an artist. She has become a favorite subject to draw, as the honesty of her poses translates so beautifully to each artist.
This work melds the realism I wanted to record in some poses with the my tendency to fragment the composition with color and line. It was drawn on Strathmore Toned Mixed Media vellum.
