Carol Berger's work is often influenced by nature. This piece is reminiscent of bubbles in sea foam. The circles on the rim are cut with an Exacto style knife and then sanded smooth. The sacrificial raku slip is applied in such a way as to leave circular areas that turn black in the reduction kiln. The final step is to wax and buff the piece to a satiny shine.
