Acrylic on Canvas

48” x 48”

Painted after a trip to Marfa, Texas in July, the intensity of the heat and the marvelous desert landscape inspired this piece.

This painting was also inspired by an old love letter. During the pandemic, when we were forced to be apart, made people connect differently, this letter was a connection between lovers.

The words are incorporated into the painting, stretching from one side to the other, crossing distance.

There are beautiful pale gold clouds in the sky, and other areas of the same color, which are very difficult to capture on camera.
