Archway Gallery Life Drawing Marathon

Archway Gallery hosts Figure Drawing sessions every Sunday, featuring both short and long poses with live models. Each year the gallery celebrates the practice with a Life Drawing Marathon. This year the marathon will take place on May 24, 2026, beginning at 10 am and lasting throughout the day until 10 pm. The day is divided into three sessions.
Artists may sign up for each session individually at a rate of $20 per session, or pay a discounted rate for all day drawing (over 20 models). Come and go is fine, and there will be refreshments on hand throughout the day. Artists who participate in our Frequent Drawing Program will receive punches on their cards for each session attended and for donations of refreshments. |

Session 1 (10 am - 12:30 pm) is life drawing with nude models, one taking 15-minute poses while another takes 30-minute poses in another area of the gallery. Artists over 18 years of age are invited to draw in choice of media for the two-hour session. Four models will be featured throughout the 2 hours.
Session 2 (1 - 5 pm) offers an opportunity to draw models during Archway's open business hours, allowing visitors to observe and if they wish, participate in the activity. All models will be clothed or costumed during this session. The gallery will furnish art supplies if needed as well as light refreshments.
Session 3 (5 - 10 pm) concludes the day-long 12-hour drawing marathon, offering an opportunity to draw nude models to artists aged 18 and up. Models will change every hour throughout the evening, with a short mashup of multiple models at the end of the session.
