I enjoy the fact that our visual
environment is abstract by its very nature.
From any given reference point it can be seen and depicted as either simplified
or fragmented. Thus, my drawings and paintings balance structural simplicity
with elaborate patterning. Interplays of rich vibrant color define what is and
what is between.
My sources are the city, its parks, restaurants and people. I seek intimate
glimpses of life in translations that are personal to the experience without
being
narrative or editorial. These explorations reflect an extension of the concept
that all things connect, down to the molecule and beyond, and that this can be
communicated
visually.
