Chris Menconi

With a lifelong fondness for animals, Menconi is most noted
for sculpting life-sized dogs in clay. Each creature has its own unique
and humorous personality, evoking whimsical admiration. Each piece is
slab built and painted with washes and stains which impart true textures
and colors. He also creates colorful jewelry, hand-fashioned from a special,
low-fire clay.
