Kay Sarver Art Some simple and yet awakening truths were being shown to me through a much ignored and humbled people, those of the indigenous cultures of the Americas. I was especially charmed by a people and their gracious ways of knowing, in Mexico. The vibrant colors that encircle their lives are used to reflect the illumination that comes from these collective souls, with an aura that surrounds the head as a symbolic gesture of pure energy. Showing the face with large, seeing eyes, allows one to look into the deeper heart of a people that seem to live with struggle and grace in the same moment.
